My specialties are adult mental health including psychiatric disorders, women’s mental health, post-partum depression, drug and alcohol misuse, and complex trauma experienced by adult survivors of child abuse.
I have developed movement therapy programs for community-based groups and women’s health retreats. I also have extensive experience facilitating DMT sessions in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital-based programs.
I was lecturer at Wesley Institute for five years, teaching the Graduate Diploma of Dance Movement Therapy.
In my private Dance Movement Psychotherapy practice I work with clients with histories of complex trauma. My practice is informed by ongoing professional development in the area of trauma treatment using the body as the primary healing tool.
I am passionate about the relationship between moving and healing and I focus my energy on researching this topic experientially and academically. I am available for group and individual dance movement psychotherapy appointments.
