Dance movement therapy is the relational and therapeutic use of dance and movement to further the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social functioning of a person.
Dance movement therapy is based on the empirically-supported unity of body and mind. It recognizes that change and growth in one supports change and growth in the other.
Dance movement therapists combine the elements of dance, movement systems, creative processes, and psychological and scientific theories, to address the specific needs of groups and individuals.

I specialise in adult and adolescent mental health, with particular expertise in psychiatric disorders, women’s mental health, postnatal depression, substance misuse, and complex trauma—including trauma experienced by adult survivors of childhood abuse.
My experience includes the development and facilitation of movement therapy programs for community-based organisations and women’s health retreats. I also have extensive experience delivering Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital settings.
I previously lectured for five years in the Graduate Diploma of Dance Movement Therapy at Wesley Institute, and at the IKON Institute of Australia, where I taught Dance Movement and Embodied Arts.
In my private practice, I work with clients who have histories of complex trauma. My therapeutic approach is deeply informed by continuous professional development in trauma treatment, with a strong emphasis on the body as a primary avenue for healing.
I am passionate about the intersection of movement and healing, and I actively engage in both experiential and academic research in this field. I offer both individual and group Dance Movement Psychotherapy sessions.
I acknowledge the Gadigal of the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which I live and work.
I value the traditional healing practices of all cultures
